Privacy policy.
Last updated: April 24, 2026
This policy explains what personal information QuickQuick collects, how we use it, and what your rights are under Philippine law — specifically the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), administered by the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
Who we are
QuickQuick is a motorcycle ride-hailing platform operating in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines. Operated by Jv Dave Martillan.
For privacy-related questions, email support@quickquickph.com.
What information we collect
Information you give us when signing up
- Phone number — used for verification (SMS code) and as your primary login.
- Name — for identifying you to drivers / riders during a booking.
- Profile photo — optional; helps drivers and riders recognize each other.
- Email address — optional, for support communication.
Information drivers must additionally provide
- Driver's license (number + photo)
- NBI Clearance (number + scan)
- Drug test certificate (number + scan)
- Vehicle registration (plate number + photo)
- Vehicle CTPL insurance (number + scan)
- Selfie photo for identity verification
Information collected automatically
- Location — GPS coordinates while you're using the app, especially during a booked or active ride. Drivers' locations are shared with their riders during active trips. Riders' pickup locations are shared with the matched driver. We don't continuously track your location when you're not using the app.
- Device information — phone model, OS version, app version, language, and a unique device identifier (used for fraud detection and crash reporting).
- Usage data — what screens you visit, what actions you take, error reports, and crash logs (via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics).
- Network information — IP address, mobile carrier (used for fraud detection and rate limiting).
Information from third parties
- Payment processors (when applicable, e.g., GCash via PayMongo) may share transaction status with us so we can record completed payments. We don't store your full payment credentials.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide the service — match you with drivers/riders, calculate fares, route navigation, send ride status updates.
- Verify identity — prevent fraud, duplicate accounts, and bad actors.
- Communicate with you — ride confirmations, status updates, support replies, important notices.
- Improve the service — understand which features people use, where bugs happen, what to build next. This is aggregated analytics, not individual targeting.
- Protect safety — respond to incidents, flag concerning patterns, share information with law enforcement if legally required.
- Comply with the law — satisfy any legal or regulatory requirements that apply to us.
We do not use your information to send marketing messages from third parties. We do not sell your data.
Who we share your information with
- Drivers and riders during active bookings — name, phone number (so you can call/message), profile photo, and live location. After the ride ends, ongoing access stops.
- Service providers — Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, analytics, crash reporting, and hosting; Mapbox for maps; payment processors for transactions. These providers are bound by confidentiality and may only use your data on our instructions.
- Law enforcement and regulators — if we receive a legitimate legal request (subpoena, court order, written request from PNP, NBI, LTFRB, etc.), we may share data as required by law. We aim to share the minimum necessary.
- In a business transition — if QuickQuick is acquired, merged, or sold, your data may be transferred to the new owner. They'd be bound by this policy or a comparable one.
We do not sell your data to advertisers or anyone else.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on Firebase / Google Cloud servers. Firebase typically hosts in regional data centers (for QuickQuick: us-central1 by default). Some processing may happen in other regions where Google operates.
How long we keep your data
- Active accounts: as long as you have an account.
- Closed accounts: 1 year after closure for fraud prevention and legal records, then deleted.
- Ride history: kept for 5 years for tax, dispute, and audit purposes.
- Location data: only kept for the duration of an active ride. Aggregated/anonymized location stats may be kept longer.
- Crash logs: 90 days.
- Backup data: included in our regular Firebase backups; backups deleted on a 30-day rolling basis.
Your rights under PH data privacy law
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Be informed about what data we collect (this policy)
- Access your data — request a copy of what we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Object to certain processing of your data
- Block or remove certain data
- Damages if your rights are violated and you suffer harm
- Portability — receive your data in a structured format
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@quickquickph.com with your request. We'll respond within 15 business days.

Security
We protect your data with:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Firebase's encryption at rest
- Authentication and access controls (only you can access your account; only authorized admins can access aggregated data)
- Firebase App Check to prevent unauthorized app clones from accessing our backend
- Regular security audits and rules updates
No system is 100% secure. If we ever have a data breach affecting you, we'll notify you and the National Privacy Commission as required by law.
Children
QuickQuick is for users 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has used QuickQuick, contact us and we'll delete the account.
Cookies and tracking
The QuickQuick mobile app doesn't use cookies. This website uses minimal cookies for session management only — no third-party tracking cookies, no behavioral advertising.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We'll notify you in the app and update the date at the top. Material changes (broader data collection, new sharing partners) require your re-acceptance on next launch.
